Tonnis Hus · 2023

Quiet, architect-designed living

A gentle, low-slung home in Bergen photographed for Open House Bergen. I documented the space as visitors would experience it on festival day.

The Brief

No site visit, no sample shots — just fresh eyes and a couple of hours on site. The brief was simple: show the feel of the place without over-explaining it.

Project: Tonnis Hus

Architect: Helge Schjeldrup

Location: Hop/Paradis, Bergen, Norway

Type: Private home

Client: Open House Bergen

Featured in: Festival promotion, Open House Worldwide, Open House Bergen, Bergens Tidende, Arkitektur

My approach

Long, rhythmic timber frames, a protective south façade, and a full glass wall to the garden. Spaces that open and close with care. I focused on warm light, clean lines and the lived-in details, keeping it natural and unfussy.

As featured in

The final set was used across Open House Bergen’s promotion, shared by Open House Worldwide, and picked up by Bergens Tidende. Small project, big use—exactly what we aim for.
